PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT

HAMPTON BOWLS CLUB INC.

1. Personal information of members held by the Club shall be used ONLY for the purposes that facilitate the clubs ability to conduct its affairs efficiently and to comply with its Statement of Purposes, Rules and By-Laws.
2. The foregoing includes but is not limited to Club communications such as:

           a)    In circumstances arising from Affiliation with the Royal Victorian Bowls
                  Association (RVBA) and the Victorian Ladies' Bowling Association
                  (VLBA)
                  and
           b)    The printing of member's names and telephone numbers in the
                  Club Fixture Book for distribution to members generally.
3. The club shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access modifications or misuse.
4. Overall the Club takes seriously its obligations under the provision of the Federal Privacy Act and retains for reference a copy of the National Privacy Principles issued by the Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner.
5. Members should provide to the Club (preferably in writing) all information that will permit the Club records to be accurate complete and up to date at all times.


NOTE.
You should be aware also of the following:
a) The identity of the Club is HAMPTON BOWLS CLUB INC.
b) Members can contact the Club through the Director of Administration.
c) Members are able to gain access to the personal information obtained from you by the Club, subject however to the National Privacy Principles and
d) That the main consequence for you if all or part of information requested by the Club is not provided, would be the failure to receive notices of meetings and club events.
